July09 SKB

BEHOLD!! Pages from the July09 Challenge Sketch Book!! The stopwatch is a homage to Ianto who is my fav Torchwood character - KEEP LIVING IANTO!! and the other pages are a character I haven't drawn literally in years - Cycatrice, the Jinja of Water. A nice fellow on devart asked me if I still had any of my Jinja art... As I didn't I am recreating for him... In this new style I am enjoying. :)

CHALLENGE!!

So... totally challenging myself and others (I'm especially looking at you Wes O Mythic Foe!) to fill a small sketchbook (like those 3 pack moleskeins) before the end of July. I want to try and fill one each month.

I might make them into a skb... Wonder if anyone would wanna buy such a thing.... Or perhaps a subscription to such a thing...

Other things I would like to offer subscriptions to are:

• original art cards (mmm atc paper - thank you strathmore!)
• dinki comics
• screen prints!
• buttons - sort of hard without a button maker
  

I've gotten off topic haven't I?

By the end of july I will have a full small sketchbook. I will.

Next step is to type your answers into Flickr’s search. Then, using pictures from the first page of the search only, put together a mosaic using Mosaic Maker. (3 columns; 4 rows) Finally, if you’re me, be amazed that you got it to work!

Comic Progress

Haha Not much I know but whatever... You can also see all the "marginals" or the doodling I do in the blank space around the live area of the page. Just whatever is crossing my mind, like odd thoughts, other people's work or ideas for new stories. Like the Nosferatu. I loathe sissy vampires. (with certain and very particular exceptions!) That silent movie Nosferatu is still one of the creepiest movies I have ever seen. Seriously!!!

Unearthed from the HD

It's amazing how much stuff ends up on a HD over time before you go, let's clean this crap off and have a lot of empty space. Yes it is totally the equivalent of throwing away three rooms of furniture. <3 This was just me having fun making screen mockups, see I had this idea that a DJ game would be ridiculous fun on the DS, not actually DJing but more like a rhythm game. Yes I TOTALLY ripped Robert Valley but he is almost synonymous with music to my thinking.

Yeah... Removing the abracadabra comic blog. Pretty much only I cared... Of course that is sort of true about everything really but we carry on!

Also I stubbed my little toe so hard I almost vomited. No lie.

Repost and rants

Just a short ranty sort of comment to say I am so pleased with the cover letter I just sent out. It is so full of my personality I will probably not get the job but it is tiring to write a serious, colorless cover letter with every single application I make.

So here, enjoy a look at Trent in flash. His legs and arms have bones!! BONES!! and it is fun to push them about. <3
